Bryan Frankel

Bryan is a 1978 graduate of American University in Washington, D.C., and received his law degree from the City University of New York, at Queens College in 1988. He worked as an investigator of nursing home fraud for the state of New York where his work lead to regulatory reform affecting nursing homes. He practiced for three years with the New York City Legal Aid Society in their criminal rights division. Bryan is trained as an ombudsman to act as an independent liaison between nursing homes and their residents. He was a professor with the New York State Institute of Technology as part of their paralegal certification program teaching estates, trusts and wills. Bryan maintained a private legal practice concentrating on issues of elder law and estate planning in Islip, New York from 1992 to 2006.
Bryan has been an active member of the National Academy of Elder Care Attorneys and the New York State Bar Association Elder Law Committee, serving as the Co-Chair of the Suffolk County Bar Association Elder Law Committee from 2003 to 2005. Admitted to practice in Vermont, he is a member of the Vermont and Windham County Bar Associations. Mr. Frankel was elected and currently serves as a board member of the Aids Services for the Monadnock Region.
